I am interested in creating a type of space, rather than to simply frame it.  Through installation I am interested in how the other senses can be used to affect an audience.  I typically start with an idea and some sense of possible materials.

I try to work fluidly, allowing for the unexpected and watching for the material that most effectively represents my idea and has the ability to engage a viewer.

I am interested in the personal, however I am most interested in how the personal can be used as an opening to explore the political.  I believe it is at this intersection where the most powerful communication can occur.
